Our newest program is LINKS – a YMS-School Collaborative. With grant funding, YMS implements our Social Emotional Learning curriculum to students in the Lockport City Schools and one other area school. Lessons combing NYS Learning Standards with SEL Benchmarks.

For Kindergarten and Grade 1, students receive up to 13 weeks of literacy based SEL with a focus on respect.

Fall trimester (September 2-November 24) at Charles Upson Elementary and Roy B. Kelly Elementary

Winter trimester (November 30-March 12) at Anna Merritt Elementary

Spring trimester (March 15-June 18) at George Southard Elementary

 

Students in grades 5 & 6 receive 10 weeks of STEM based SEL addressing the mind-body connection.

Secondary students use a Game of Life curriculum that focuses on life skills.
